Our worship

Rooted in an ancient pattern

Liturgy

Whatever the style, our worship follows a pattern shared by liturgical churches across the world. We observe the church year, its seasons and festivals, celebrating events in the life of Jesus and the Church.

The Word

Readings come from the Revised Common Lectionary (NRSV), the same texts heard that day in many Catholic, Episcopal, Presbyterian and Methodist churches. We sing from Evangelical Lutheran Worship.

Holy Communion

We celebrate Christ's promised presence in bread and wine “for forgiveness of sins, life and salvation.” All the baptized who hunger and thirst for God's love are welcome at the table.

We believe that humans are created to praise our Creator and Redeemer, and that weekly worship is the center from which our mission and service emanates.
