Welcome home
We'd love to know you, worship with you, and serve alongside you. Trinity is a family that gathers in prayer, praises God, learns together, cares for one another, and serves the community beyond these walls.
Whether you're exploring faith for the first time, coming home after years away, or new to St. Peter and looking for a church family, there is room for you here: just as you are.

Our mission
Trinity aspires to be a community of faith where people are invited, inspired and empowered to live the good news of Jesus.
Invited to gather joyfully into the presence of the Father, in worship that is rooted in ancient liturgy and open to all.
Worship with us IIInspired to grow into passionate disciples of Jesus Christ through Scripture, learning, music, and life together.
Learn & grow IIIEmpowered by the Holy Spirit to go out and serve the world, because in serving others, we serve Jesus in disguise.

Our story
On April 24, Lutherans in St. Peter organize First English Evangelical Lutheran Church so that English-language services could be held “every Lord’s day morning.”
The Sunday School holds its first picnic, an outing for the whole congregation with fully 200 present.
The original church is completed for $4,000, home to 175 members and 140 children in Sunday School.
The congregation changes its constitution so that women may vote in all church affairs.
The congregation takes the name it carries today.
The mortgage is officially burned. Trinity counts 500 adult members.
The present church is dedicated, with its stained glass and pipe organ.
A tornado strikes St. Peter. Trinity is damaged but left standing, and is renovated and expanded in 1999.
Senior high youth, home from a mission trip, start a free Monday community meal. It is still going strong.
Lutheran Social Services honors Trinity with the Servant of Christ Award for serving the larger community.
